I hop

ihop
"Ihop," a glass vase, is the creation of Kunsik, a designer of Korean origin based in Sweden.
Meaning "together" or "along with" in Swedish, this piece was born from the intersection of creator and craftsman, intent and intuition.
The lower part features wave-like undulations shaped by a mold, while the upper part retains the natural膨らみ unique to blown glass.
As stillness and motion, structure and chance reside within a single form, no two pieces are exactly alike.
Each "Ihop" is meticulously crafted by artisans in a traditional workshop in Småland, Sweden, offering a different vista every time flowers are placed in it.
It evokes a sense of cherishing everyday life through the time spent engaging with flowers and working with one's hands.
This exhibition, vesi's first, attempts to expand the image held by the form of "Ihop."
The upper and lower structures, created through different processes, embody irregularity and ambiguity hidden within an orderly form, revealing different expressions depending on the viewing angle.
Plants organically stand amidst the structured urban space.
We felt a resonance with "Ihop" in their existence, changing their appearance with the environment.
Inorganic and organic, city and plants.
We hope you will enjoy the beauty of such relationships, presented alongside photographic works by Kohei Tahara.
Additionally, for this exhibition, we commissioned an installation by "orchard," a flower shop in Kuramae, to add color to the display.
With the concept of "a place that fosters fruits between flowers and people," orchard carefully handles everything from a single flower to spatial flower arrangements. Their quiet observation and tactile sense will enrich this exhibition.
