We are going.

me menemme
by ikuellé
ikuellé's work begins with "threads."
As threads are woven, they connect with other threads, transforming their shape to create a single surface.
This can be seen as individual existences interacting with others to form a larger world.
The exhibition title, "me menemme (we go)," embodies the sense of "moving forward together" rather than alone.
It suggests not only walking with someone or looking in the same direction,
but also moving forward while accepting each other's differences as they are.
The works displayed in the vesi and ITSE spaces, while independent,
collectively create a rhythm like a single breath.
This reminds us that we interact little by little each day,
weaving invisible connections.
As the words "me menemme" suggest,
we "go"—intersecting, passing each other by, yet still moving forward.
This exhibition's gaze rests within that quiet movement.

Artist Statement
Days fly by in a blur
As if running, as if standing still
Moving slowly, crawling out sluggishly
Embraced by winter light, I step forward
I am delighted to exhibit in the cherished spaces of the two owners.
The refined and comfortable spaces will feature mainly new works. You can walk between them, so please visit both.
I know it's a busy time of year, but I look forward to meeting many of you.
